CLAYwith a background in illustration, I search for lines that grace form and fabric—the drama of light and shadow.

Coil-built, at leather-hard stage, works are sectioned and hollowed to approximately one-quarter inch thickness, and then re-assembled with slip. Each holds an inscribed secret. Some works have a Milk Paint surface, added after firing, which allows for a palette of soft washes and delicate spatterings of color. Other works are fired using only one or two glazes.
